kto-eto-nazvanievaet

Viber, WhatsApp, Skype, Telegram.

Viber

Viber

Skype

Google

Google

It's free to register your home or mobile phone number. 90005 90002 If you've already added your phone number to the Do Not Call Registry and are still getting a lot of unwanted calls, odds are the calls are from scammers. Read about blocking unwanted calls to find out what to do about them. If you answer one of these calls, hang up and report the call to the FTC.90005 90008 Adding Your Number to the Registry 90009 90010 How do I add my number to the Registry? 90011 90002 Go to donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 (TTY: 1-866-290-4236) from the phone you want to register. It's free. 90005 90002 If you register your number at donotcall.gov, you'll get an email with a link you need to click on within 72 hours to complete your registration. 90005 90010 How long will it take for sales calls to stop? 90011 90002 Your phone number should show up on the Registry the next day, but it can take 90003 up to 31 days 90004 for sales calls to stop. You can check whether your number is on the Registry at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the number you want to verify. 90005 90010 Will my registration expire? 90011 90002 90003 No, your registration will never expire. 90004 The FTC will only remove your number from the Registry if it's disconnected and reassigned, or if you ask to remove it. 90005 90010 Can I add my mobile phone to the Do Not Call Registry? 90011 90002 Yes. 90005 90008 What the Registry Does not Do 90009 90010 Will the Registry stop all unwanted calls? 90011 90002 No.The Do Not Call Registry stops 90003 sales 90004 calls from real companies. The Registry is a list that tells telemarketers what numbers not to call. The FTC does not and can not block calls. The Registry can not stop calls from scammers who ignore the Registry. 90005 90002 One reason people get a lot of unwanted calls is because it's easy and cheap for scammers to call people anywhere in the world. To get fewer unwanted calls, look into blocking unwanted calls. There are different call-blocking options for mobile phones, traditional landlines, and landlines that use the internet (VoIP).90005 90002 You can find a list of some call-blocking apps for mobile phones at ctia.org, a website for the U.S. wireless communications industry. For company-specific information about blocking calls on landlines and phones that use the internet, go to the FCC's Call Blocking Resources. 90005 90010 Can a company still call me with a sales pitch? 90011 90002 Companies can call you if you've recently done business with them, or if you've given them written permission to call. But if you ask them not to call you, they have to stop.Be sure to write down the date you asked them to stop. 90005 90010 Are any other types of calls still allowed under FTC rules if I'm on the Registry? 90011 90002 The rules allow: 90005 90002 But these calls can not also include a sales pitch. 90005 90010 What about robocalls? 90011 90002 If a robocall - a call that plays a recorded message - is selling something, it's illegal unless you've given a company 90003 written permission 90004 to call you that way. 90005 90002 So if you have not given the company permission, and the robocall is not purely informational - like your cable company confirming a service appointment - there's a good chance it's a scam.At the very least, it's from a company you do not want to do business with. 90005 90002 If you get an illegal robocall, hang up. Do not press buttons to be taken off a call list or to talk to a live person. It might lead to more unwanted calls. Instead, report it to the FTC. 90005 90002 Learn more about robocalls at ftc.gov/robocalls. 90005 90008 Report Unwanted Calls 90009 90010 Where can I report an unwanted call? 90011 90002 Report unwanted calls at donotcall.gov. Report the number that appears on your caller ID - even if you think it might be spoofed or faked - and any number you're told to call back.90005 90010 Should I expect to hear back from the FTC? 90011 90002 The FTC gets millions of reports each year, so we can not respond to each one. But your report matters. The FTC and other law enforcement agencies analyze reports to identify and take action against the people responsible for illegal calls and scams. 90005 90002 The FTC also takes the phone numbers you report and releases them each business day to help telecommunications carriers and other industry partners that are working on call-blocking solutions.90005 90010 What's the penalty for companies that illegally call numbers on the Registry? 90011 90002 Companies that illegally call numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry or place an illegal robocall can currently be fined up to $ 42,530 per call. 90005 90010 The number from my caller ID was faked. Why should I report it? 90011 90002 Technology has made it easy for scammers to fake or "spoof" caller ID information, so the number you're reporting might not be the caller's real number. But in some instances, the FTC and other law enforcement agencies can still trace the call based on the information you provide. The complaint also helps because the FTC analyzes complaint data and trends to identify illegal callers based on calling patterns. We also use additional information you report, like any number you're told to call back, to track down scammers. Learn more about common phone scams. 90005 90002 To get fewer unwanted calls, look into call-blocking solutions. 90005 90010 What is the FTC doing to stop illegal calls? 90011 90002 The FTC has sued hundreds of companies and people responsible for unwanted calls, and has forced telemarketers making illegal calls to pay more than $ 100 million dollars in judgments. The FTC also brings enforcement actions against robocallers and has already stopped people responsible for billions of robocalls. You can read about recent FTC cases and other robocall-related actions in our press releases. 90005 90002 The FTC continues to work with other law enforcement agencies and encourages industry efforts to combat robocalls and caller ID spoofing. The FTC has led initiatives to develop technology-based solutions, including a series of robocall contests that challenged tech experts to design tools that block robocalls and help investigators track down and stop robocallers.90005 90010 What do businesses and sellers need to know? 90011 90002 Generally speaking, telemarketers who sell goods and services must download the Registry and remove from their calling lists numbers listed on the Registry. Businesses and organizations must register with the FTC before they are allowed to access the Registry. It's illegal for anyone to use the Registry for any purpose other than preventing telemarketing calls to the telephone numbers on the Registry. Read the FTC's Q & A for telemarketers and sellers.90005 90008 Registration Questions 90009 90010 Are mobile phones, or cell phones, treated differently than home phones on the Do Not Call Registry? 90011 90002 No. You register a mobile phone number the same way you do any other personal number. There's no separate list or database for mobile phones. There's no deadline for registering mobile phone numbers, mobile phone registrations do not expire, and the government is not releasing mobile phone numbers to telemarketers. 90005 90002 In fact, mobile phones have an extra protection.Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call mobile phones without your permission. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers can not call your mobile phone without permission. 90005 90010 Someone called and offered to put my name on the Registry. Should I let them? 90011 90002 No. It's free and easy to register yourself at donotcall.gov or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to register (TTY: 1-866-290-4236).90005 90010 What happens if I register more than one number online? 90011 90002 You will get an email for each number you register online. You must open each email and click on the link in it within 72 hours to register each number. 90005 90002 You can register up to three numbers at a time online. To register more personal phone numbers, just go through the registration process again. If you want to register your number by phone, you will have to call from each phone number you want to register.90005 90010 Can I register my business phone number or a fax number? 90011 90002 The Registry is for personal phone numbers. Business-to-business calls and faxes are not covered. 90005 90010 Can I take my number off the Registry? 90011 90002 Yes. You can remove your number by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you want to remove. Your number will be off the Registry the next day. Companies have to update their telemarketing lists within 31 days. 90005 90010 If I register, how will the FTC use my information? 90011 90002 The FTC stores your phone number so telemarketers can remove it from their call lists. If you register at donotcall.gov, we also collect your email address to confirm your registration. We store your email address securely, separate from your phone number, and never share it with telemarketers. 90005 90002 For more information about the privacy of your information, please see the FTC privacy policy. 90005 90010 When I called to register, a message said my number could not be verified. What should I do? 90011 90002 If the automated phone system can not verify your number, you'll need to register at donotcall.gov. 90005 90010 When I called to register, a message said the number I was calling from did not match the number I entered. What should I do? 90011 90002 To register, you must call from the phone you want to register. If you answer such a call, hang up immediately. 90012 90011 You may not be able to tell right away if an incoming call is spoofed. Be aware: Caller ID showing a "local" number does not necessarily mean it is a local caller.90012 90011 If you answer the phone and the caller - or a recording - asks you to hit a button to stop getting the calls, you should just hang up. Scammers often use this trick to identify potential targets. 90012 90011 Do not respond to any questions, especially those that can be answered with "Yes." 90012 90011 Never give out personal information such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, mother's maiden names, passwords or other identifying information in response to unexpected calls or if you are at all suspicious.90012 90011 If you get an inquiry from someone who says they represent a company or a government agency, hang up and call the phone number on your account statement, in the phone book, or on the company's or government agency's website to verify the authenticity of the request. You will usually get a written statement in the mail before you get a phone call from a legitimate source, particularly if the caller is asking for a payment. 90012 90011 Use caution if you are being pressured for information immediately.90012 90011 If you have a voice mail account with your phone service, be sure to set a password for it. Some voicemail services are preset to allow access if you call in from your own phone number. A hacker could spoof your home phone number and gain access to your voice mail if you do not set a password. 90012 90011 Talk to your phone company about call blocking tools they may have and check into apps that you can download to your mobile device to block unwanted calls. 90012 90011 If you use robocall-blocking technology already, it often helps to let that company know which numbers are producing unwanted calls so they can help block those calls for you and others.90012 90011 To block telemarketing calls, register your number on the Do Not Call List. Legitimate telemarketers consult the list to avoid calling both landline and wireless phone numbers on the list. 90012 90033 90002 FAQs About Robocalls 90003 90002 Robocalls are calls made with an autodialer or that contain a message made with a prerecorded or artificial voice. 90003 90002 Advances in technology have unfortunately allowed illegal and spoofed robocalls to be made from anywhere in the world and more cheaply and easily than ever before. That's why it's become more of a problem for consumers, and a more difficult problem to solve. 90003 90002 Keep in mind that many robocalls are legal. While we have taken several actions, and continue to work on reducing illegal robocalls, it is a difficult problem that requires complex solutions. The most complex part is identifying the illegal calls in real time to be able to block them without blocking lawful calls. 90003 90010 90011 90044 What are the rules for robocalls? 90045 90046 90002 FCC rules require a caller to obtain your written consent - on paper or through electronic means, including website forms, a telephone keypress - before it may make a prerecorded telemarketing call to your home or wireless phone number.FCC rules also require a caller to obtain your consent, oral or written, before it may make an autodialed or prerecorded call or text to your wireless number. There are exceptions to these rules, such as for emergencies involving danger to life or safety. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What are the rules for telemarketers calling a wireline home phone? 90045 90046 90002 Callers must have your prior express written consent before making telemarketing calls using a prerecorded or artificial voice.Telephone solicitation calls to your home are prohibited before 8 am or after 9 pm. 90003 90002 Telemarketers are no longer able to make telemarketing robocalls to your wireline home telephone based solely on an "established business relationship" that you may have established when purchasing something from a business or contacting the business to ask questions. 90003 90012 90011 90044 Are robocalls to wireless phones prohibited? 90045 90046 90002 A consumer's written or oral consent is required for autodialed, prerecorded, or artificial voice calls or texts made to your wireless number, with a few exceptions such as emergency calls regarding danger to life or safety.Consent must be in writing for telemarketing robocalls. Telemarketers have never been permitted to make robocalls to your wireless phone based solely on an "established business relationship" with you. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What types of autodialed calls are permitted under the FCC rules? 90045 90046 90002 Not all robocalls are illegal. There are several factors to consider: the technology used to make the call, whether the call is to a landline or a mobile number, whether the content of the call is telemarketing, and whether the called number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.90003 90002 Market research or polling calls to home wireline numbers are not restricted by FCC rules, nor are calls on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit groups. Informational messages such as school closings or flight information to your home phone are permissible without prior consent. The rules do require all prerecorded calls, including market research or polling calls, to identify the caller at the beginning of the message and include a contact phone number. Autodialed or prerecorded calls to wireless phones are prohibited without prior express consent, regardless of the call's content, with a few exceptions such as emergency calls regarding danger to life or safety.90003 90012 90011 90044 What are the rules about robocalls releasing telephone lines? 90045 90046 90002 Autodialers that deliver a prerecorded message must release the called party's telephone line within five seconds of the time that the calling system receives notification that the called party's line has hung up. In some areas, you could experience a delay before you can get a dial tone again. Your local telephone company can tell you if there is a delay in your area. 90003 90012 90011 90044 Are any organizations or individuals exempt from the Do Not Call rules? 90045 90046 90002 Yes.The Do Not Call rules only apply to telemarketing calls. So, the following types of calls are ones that do not have to comply with do-not-call requests: tax-exempt, non-profit organizations; political organizations; pollsters and survey takers, not making sales calls; religious organizations; and telemarketers to whom you have given prior written consent to call you. 90003 90012 90011 90044 Can I opt out of autodialed calls? 90045 90046 90002 FCC rules require telemarketers to allow you to opt out of receiving additional telemarketing robocalls immediately during a prerecorded telemarketing call through an automated menu. The opt-out mechanism must be announced at the outset of the message and must be available throughout the duration of the call. 90003 90012 90011 90044 Where should I file my unwanted call complaint? 90045 90046 90002 Consumers can file complaints with the FCC by going to fcc.gov/complaints. You should choose the phone form and the unwanted calls issue for all complaints involving unwanted calls, including if your number is being spoofed, blocked, or labeled. 90003 90002 If you have a complaint about telephone fraud or telemarketers who have disregarded the Do Not Call list, we also encourage you to file a complaint with the FTC at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov. 90003 90002 If the unwanted call is an IRS scam, we also encourage you to file your complaint with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) at www.tigta.gov or call 1-800-366-4484. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What does the FCC do with consumer complaints? 90045 90046 90002 We do not resolve individual unwanted call complaints but such complaints provide valuable information that the FCC uses to inform policy decisions and as the basis of potential enforcement actions against callers violating our rules under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (for most robocalls) or Truth in Caller ID Act.We may share your complaint with other agencies, such as the FTC, if we have shared jurisdiction over the alleged violation. 90003 90012 90011 90044 How can schools get more information about compliance? 90045 90046 90002 For schools who have questions about compliance with the Commission's robocalls rules, please contact [email protected] 90003 90012 90033 90002 Download the FCC Report on Robocalls (PDF). 90003 90002 Robotexts 90003 90002 FCC rules ban text messages sent to a mobile phone using an autodialer unless you previously gave consent to receive the message or the message is sent for emergency purposes.90003 90010 90011 For commercial texts, your consent must be in writing. 90012 90011 For noncommercial, informational texts (such as those sent by or on behalf of tax-exempt non-profit organizations, those for political purposes, and other noncommercial purposes, such as school closings), your consent may be oral. 90012 90033 90002 The ban applies even if you have not placed your mobile phone number on the national Do-Not-Call list. 90003 90136 Tips for avoiding unwanted texts 90137 90010 90011 Do not respond to unwanted texts from questionable sources.Several mobile service providers allow you to block the sender by forwarding unwanted texts to 7726 (or "SPAM"). Check with your provider about options. 90012 90011 Be careful about giving out your mobile phone number or any other personal information. 90012 90011 Read through commercial web forms and check for a privacy policy when submitting your mobile phone number to any customer website. You should be able to opt out of receiving texts - but you may have to check or uncheck a preselected box to do so.90012 90011 Find out if any company you do business with has a policy that allows it to sell or share your information. 90012 90033 90136 Take action 90137 90002 File a complaint with the FCC if you receive: 90003 90010 90011 An unwanted commercial text message sent to your mobile phone. 90012 90011 An autodialed text message sent to your mobile phone if you did not consent to the message previously (or it does not involve an emergency). 90012 90011 Any autodialed text message from a telecommunications company or advertising a telecommunications company's products or services, if sent without your prior consent.90012 90033 90002 Spoofing and Caller ID 90003 90002 Caller ID spoofing is when a caller deliberately falsifies the information transmitted to your caller ID display to disguise their identity. Spoofing is often used as part of an attempt to trick someone into giving away valuable personal information so it can be used in fraudulent activity or sold illegally, but also can be used legitimately, for example, to display the toll-free number for a business . 90003 90010 90011 90044 What is neighbor spoofing? 90045 90046 90002 Robocallers use neighbor spoofing, which displays a phone number similar to your own on your caller ID, to increase the likelihood that you will answer the call.To help combat neighbor spoofing, the FCC is requiring the phone industry to adopt a robust caller ID authentication system. 90003 90012 90011 90044 When is spoofing illegal? 90045 90046 90002 Under the Truth in Caller ID Act, FCC rules prohibit anyone from transmitting misleading or inaccurate caller ID information with the intent to defraud, cause harm or wrongly obtain anything of value. Anyone who is illegally spoofing can face penalties of up to $ 10,000 for each violation. However, spoofing is not always illegal. There are legitimate, legal uses for spoofing, like when a doctor calls a patient from her personal mobile phone and displays the office number rather than the personal phone number or a business displays its toll-free call-back number. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What can you do if your number is being spoofed? 90045 90046 90002 If you get calls from people saying your number is showing up on their caller ID, it's likely that your number has been spoofed. We suggest first that you do not answer any calls from unknown numbers, but if you do, explain that your telephone number is being spoofed and that you did not actually make any calls. You can also place a message on your voicemail letting callers know that your number is being spoofed. Usually scammers switch numbers frequently. It is likely that within hours they will no longer be using your number. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What is blocking or labeling? 90045 90046 90002 If a telephone number is blocked or labeled as a "potential scam" on your caller ID, it is possible the number has been spoofed.Several phone companies and app developers offer call-blocking and labeling services that detect whether a call is likely to be fraudulent based on call patterns, consumer complaints or other means. 90003 90002 FCC rules do not prohibit call blocking or labeling technologies, however the FCC is very concerned about ensuring that lawful calls are completed and has encouraged providers who block calls to establish a means for a caller whose number is blocked to contact the provider and remedy the problem.90003 90002 You can legally block the transmission of your phone number when you make calls, so your number will appear as "unknown." Doing so is not spoofing. 90003 90012 90011 90044 What are the caller ID rules for telemarketers? 90045 90046 90002 FCC rules specifically require that a telemarketer: 90003 90010 90011 Transmit or display its telephone number or the telephone number on whose behalf the call is being made, and, if possible, its name or the name of the company for which it is selling products or services.90012 90011 Display a telephone number you can call during regular business hours to ask to no longer be called. This rule applies even to companies that already have an established business relationship with you. 90012 90033 90012 90033 90002 Political Campaign Robocalls & Robotexts 90003 90002 Restrictions on political campaign-related robocalls or robotexts vary based upon whether a call is delivered to a landline telephone, a cell phone, or certain protected telephone lines such as emergency or toll-free lines, or lines serving hospitals or similar facilities.90003 90002 Political campaign-related autodialed or prerecorded voice calls, including autodialed live calls, prerecorded voice messages, and text messages, are: 90003 90010 90011 Not allowed to cell phones, pagers, or other mobile devices without the called party's prior express consent. 90012 90011 Not allowed to protected phone lines such as emergency or toll-free lines, or lines serving hospitals or similar facilities, unless made with the called party's prior express consent. 90012 90011 Allowed when made to landline telephones, even 90223 without 90224 prior express consent.90012 90033 90002 Robotexts - text messages generated through autodialing - are considered a type of call and fall under all robocall rules. As text messages generally go to mobile phones, they require the called party's prior express consent if they are generated using autodialing. However, political text messages can be sent without prior consent of the intended recipient if the sender does not use autodialing technology to send the text. 90003 90002 All prerecorded voice message calls, campaign-related and otherwise, must include certain identification information: 90003 90010 90011 The identity of the business, individual, or other entity initiating the call (and if a business or corporate entity, the entity's official business name) must be stated clearly at the beginning of the message.90012 90011 Also, the telephone number of the calling party must be provided either during or after the message. 90012 90033 90002 Web Resources for Blocking Robocalls 90003 90002 Call blocking is a tool used by phone companies to stop illegal and unwanted calls from reaching your phone. A recent FCC report found that by partnering with third-party analytics companies, providers are able to block billions of unwanted calls to American consumers each year. 90003 90002 Phone companies sometimes block calls connected to suspicious calling patterns proactively for their customers. Many phone companies also enable their customers to block additional unwanted calls by enrolling in a service or installing an app. Consumers can also adjust certain settings on their phone, sign up with a third-party service, or download a third-party app to block suspected unwanted calls. 90003 90002 Depending on your service provider, a blocked call may go straight to your voicemail, you may hear a single ring and get caller ID information from the blocked call, or you may get no notice at all.90003 90002 Many phone companies are taking advantage of FCC rules that allow consumers to be enrolled automatically in call blocking services, but you can opt-out if you are concerned about missing wanted calls. A number of companies also offer call labeling to help consumers determine which calls they want to answer. Labeling services display categories for potentially unwanted or illegal calls such as "spam" or "scam likely" on the caller ID display. 90003 90002 Contact your phone company to learn more about the blocking and labeling solutions that may be available to protect you from unwanted and illegal calls. There may also be apps you can download for your mobile device - at little or no cost - to block or label potential spam calls.
